Our established MK based global manufacturing client, a dynamic SME sized business with an award winning reputation and a broad customer base, is currently looking to recruit a new Financial Controller. We are looking for a hands-on, operationally and commercially minded qualified financial controller to be responsible for the day-to-day running of a finance function and for maintaining tight and robust financial controls.
The key responsibilities and deliverables of this exciting new opportunity will include; the management and mentoring of a slick and efficient finance team (including ledgers, payroll and systems);responsibility for the production of both consolidated management & financial accounts including the preparation and filing of annual statutory accounts, returns and audit processes; to prepare and present monthly MI and sales KPI’s; to enhance and make more insightful (through MI and the best use of MS office tools) the analysis of weekly flash numbers including margin, labour, BOM’s, sku analysis, standard costs and customer spend, as well as to ensure the tighter control and management of banking and cash flow requirements. This role will also assume responsibility for producing and analysing monthly and quarterly budgets and forecasts as well and the delivery and execution of a new three-year business plan.
The successful candidate, a confident and commercially articulate self-starter with over 5 years of hands-on post-qualification experience will be a driven and highly approachable Qualified Finance Manager / Financial Controller / Business Partner with strong interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
This role will require the successful candidate to challenge, facilitate and influence at all levels across the business. Strong cost accounting and commercial management accounting experience is highly desirable as is an aptitude for continuously improving systems and processes in line with further developing and maximising their new ERP system.
