Major Recruitment Looking for Quality / CI Engineer at Cowpen , Northumberland Full Time

A Quality / CI Engineer is sought by an expanding North Tyneside based manufacturing company

You will be responsible for all aspects of Quality Engineering including: –

• Leading the investigation & identification root cause of Quality/Process concerns & rejects, and ensuring that effective Countermeasures, Corrective Actions & Preventative Actions are implemented through the use of Quality Tools (8D, 5WHY, Poke Yoke)
• Overseeing the quality inspection process
• Developing and implementing quality policies and procedures
• Examination, analysis and reprocessing of customer returns
• Creation of Quality Standards documentation for material and Inspection procedures
• Set criteria for Supplier Approval and performance measurements (Quality & Delivery)
• Leading Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma initiatives
• Process Mapping and Value Engineering
• Implementing Process change and improvements relating to NPI and Machinery needs

You will need experience as a Quality Engineer within a change and improvement-led manufacturing environment. You will need a Six Sigma Green Belt qualification coupled with evidence of leading continuous improvement projects. A HNC / HND or Degree level qualification is essential.

You will also need experience of creating and implementing quality systems, procedures and policies that are compliant to ISO9001 standards. You will need experience of carrying out internal and external audits. A background in change management and implementing manufacturing improvements is essential
