In Luton’s Technical Services Department, no two days are the same, and as Facilities Support Technician you’ll complete a broad variety of tasks, contributing to the planned and reactive maintenance function across the site.
You may have skills and experience gained from years of commitment to your craft, or you could have recently qualified and be looking for your start in the industry (a targeted training and development structure is given for the right individual), either way you’ll be committed to completing all works to a consistently high standard, right first time and on time.
You’ll take a proactive approach to your job, which will include assisting with minor PPMs and repair work, getting involved with site improvement projects, and general multi-trade tasks, eg. minor carpentry, plumbing, tiling, painting & decorating, and general building maintenance.
Your standard days and hours of work will be Monday to Friday 0730 to 1530 with a ½ hour unpaid break, though you’ll understand the nature of the job will occasionally require additional commitment outside of normal working hours, and you’ll be happy to support your team when required to get the job done. All overtime will be paid at 1.5x your rate of pay.
