Our client is a well-established provider of engineering solutions to a variety of industries including Aerospace, Medical, Rail and Manufacturing. Due to a sustained period of growth, they are seeking a Quality Technician to join their team.
The Role:
The Quality Technician will work hands-on in the Quality team performing inspection and investigation duties, processing customer returns and managing calibration of equipment.
You will conduct Quality control inspection tasks as necessary to confirm conformance of incoming, stored, or outgoing product.
Process RMAs (Returns Material Authorisation), conducting Containment and Investigative actions. Raise Purchase Returns Authorisations and return defective product to Suppliers. Expedite Suppliers response/reports and prepare reports for Customers.
Collect Measuring & Test Equipment due for calibration, conduct inhouse calibrations and co-ordinate external service providers for externally calibrated/serviced equipment. Maintain the Calibration database and return the calibrated Equipment to the workstations.
Maintain Document control, updating database of Controlled Specifications, QMS documentation, records etc. and implement changes to existing documentation.
Support the investigation process for product and service failures; using suitable problem-solving techniques to identify root cause and necessary correction and corrective actions. Compile information into RCCA and Customer reports.
After training, to Review of Customer Specifications and Contractual Terms, identifying potential variations between the Company’s standard offering and the Customer’s requirements.
Undergo training (if necessary) to perform Internal Quality Audits and report against ISO9001/AS9120 standards and company process documentation.
The Candidate:
Experience of a similar role within a manufacturing or distribution company or a willingness to learn and develop a career in Quality.
Have a willing, enthusiastic “Can Do” attitude and desire to develop knowledge of Quality.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficient in MS systems, particularly MS Word and Excel.
Strong attention to detail, be accurate in their work with an enquiring mind.
Preferably, with knowledge of ISO9001.
Preferably, with experience of working in the Aerospace or a regulated industry, within an Inspection, Quality or Test role.

Offering from £25,000 to £32,000 plus a competitive benefits package.
