Marks Sattin recruitment Looking for Group IT Security Engineer at West Midlands (Region) Full Time

Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a Global leading Comsumable Goods organisation.

The Global IT Security Engineer will report to the UK Chief Information Security Officer and the Global IT Director.

The purpose of the Group IT Security Engineer is to support the Group by protecting data, systems and networks againsr unauthorised access, modification and destruction.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and participating in the day to day operations of the in-place security solutions
• Carrying out the identification, investigation and resolution of security breaches detected by those systems
• Involvement in the implementation of new security, IT and business solutions
• Managing the creation and maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures
• Overseeing the completion of vulnerability audits and security assessments
• Ensure awareness of the Group’s security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures and guidelines and to actively work towards upholding those goals
• Actively participating in the planning and design of enterprise security achitecture with the Chief Information Security Officer
• Carrying out overseeing the creation of enterprise security documents under the Chief Information Security Officer
• Participating in the planning and design of business continuity plans and disaster recovery plans
• Staying abreast of IT security solutions and new security attacks and threats
• Improving existing security solutions and recommend additional security solutions
• Perform the deployment, integration and configuration of all new security solutions in accordance to the Group’s standard operating procedures
• Be the technical expert on security issues and advise on solutions
• Overseeing the creation, evaluation and implementationof policies and policies
• Providing on-call support for end users for all in-place and future security solutions
• Participating in the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits
• Complete and/or oversee investigations, analysis and report on security events, incidents and intrusions; track incidents through analysis, diagnosis, correction and resolution

To be considered you must:

• Have CISSP certification and other relevant certifications
• Have 5+ years in Information Security
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
• Have extensive experience with network security, vulnerability assessments, access control and authorisation, policy enforcement and compliance, firewall management and incident response
• Working technical knowledge of AV/AM solutions, MFA technologies, Mobile Device Management Security, NGFW configuration and management, IDS/IPS, SIEM and log correlation/analysis tools
• Strong understanding of information security best practices and/or standards (e.g. NIST, ISO, COBIT, ITIL, PCI, etc.), global/regional data privacy laws and regulations, governance, risk and compliance management
• Very good communication and negotiation skills
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to independently conduct research into global IT security issues and products as required.
• Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
