Job Description
Lecturer – Nurse Apprenticeship – 5 yr fixed term contract (with potential to extend) – up to £41k per year plus benefits.
Home Based with some travel to hospital sites and University campus.
37 hrs per week – with some flexibility regarding days/start and finish times – will also consider job share
We have an exciting and unique opportunity for an RGN with considerable clinical experience, to join a University with a great reputation, working in partnership with a leading healthcare organisation.
You will provide educational leadership, assessment and support to around 20 Nurse Apprentices throughout their 5 year programme of learning. The Nurses will be based at a hospital, completing on the job training as well as course work and lectures. You will conduct sessions both online and face to face.
This is a regional role – in that you will have students based at various hospital sites. Whilst the majority of this role can be performed remotely, there is an element of travel i.e. 1-2 days per week. Therefore, it is essential that you have your own form of transport (although mileage outside of a local commute will be reimbursed). You will also occasionally attend the University campus.
Your experience
RGN with full NMC registration
Experience in hospital Nursing (in any setting)
Clinical education experience preferable
Whilst this is a fixed term contract you will be in full receipt of the appropriate benefits package for this job level. You will be directly employed by the hospital, and although it is a contract position there is a chance it could become a permanent position.
