Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Salary: £28,400 per annum (Potential additional £3800 for worldwide travel to client sites)
Your new role:
A great new opportunity to join our clients engineering team as Mechanical Fitter. Reporting directly to the Production Manager and working closely with the production team you will assist in the manufacture of world class machinery and assist in the mechanical installation and servicing of equipment across the world. You will ensure that targets are met both safely and efficiently and continually review projects and processes to assist with continuous improvement and standardisation. You will be responsible for improving quality, reducing labour hours and assist with build issues, working closely with design and technical teams.
Skills, experience and qualifications required: The successful candidate will have successfully serviced an Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering with a BTEC ONC or equivalent. You will have proven experience of working in a manufacturing, assembly environment, working to engineering drawings and have experience of using mechanical engineering processes in assembly and fitting. It is highly desirable that you have experience of lean production methods i.e., PDCA and cost down activities and have experience of working away from home in a similar role. Capital machinery, paper or converting machinery and process / vacuum system is also ideally required.
