Office Angels are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant for our client based near Camberley. Role: Accounts Assistant Salary: up to £34,000 Please note, this is an office-based position. There is no option to work remotely The Role: Assisting with the efficient day-to-day running of the Finance function of business and associated businesses Managing sales ledger including creation of invoices, credit notes and debt collection across all businesses Managing purchase ledger including inputting supplier bills, credit notes, and raising supplier payments across all businesses Raising purchase orders and managing the process Managing and raising queries both internally and externally Bank payment Cash collection, reconciling statements and managing cash flow Setting up new clients and suppliers across all businesses Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties, including ownership of specified control account reconciliations Preparing relevant balance sheet reconciliations and follow up issues highlighted by senior management Providing financial and management information to support management decision making Posting of monthly journals to include prepayments, accruals, and payroll Understand, prepare, and explain variances against budget / forecast Assist in preparation of statutory accounts Assisting in stocktake and stock reconciliations and Valuations Assisting in yearend Audits Assisting with monthly payroll Dealing with HMRC with regards to VAT, tax, and PAYE Ensuring compliance with all company financial controls Dealing with financial paperwork and filing Providing ad-hoc finance support and cover as requiredThe ideal candidate: AAT Level 3 or above or equivalent accountancy qualification level beneficial Experience of working in a finance role with knowledge of accounts functions Prior experience of supporting with the preparation of management accounts Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel Excellent IT skills Knowledge of accounting systems Experienced and previously worked with manual bookkeeping processes Highly organised and the ability to manage own workload efficiently Organised, with high attention to detailIf you are interested in this position, please send your CV to Morgan Lay at (url removed) or alternatively please apply online.
