Description
Duties as a Payroll Assistant include:
Assisting with the preparation of monthly payrolls including a mix of salaried & hourly rate staff
Dealing with all payroll related queries
Reviewing and inputting new starter payroll info
Collating, checking & importing hours from stores & warehouses
Monitoring and processing all hourly rate increases
Calculation of taxes & statutory payments such as NI, PAYE, SSP, SMP etc
Completing monthly payroll sign off duties such as pension assessments, payroll reports & BACS reports
Production and distribution of payslips and P45’s
Profile
The successful Payroll Assistant candidate will:
Have a proven track record within a payroll environment
Have intermediate / advanced MS Excel skills
Work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
Work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Have excellent verbal & written communication skills
Job Offer
A salary up to £30,000 plus flexible / hybrid working, pension, holidays & more.
