Supporting senior management, you will find this a varied role within a friendly, thriving environment. You will be responsible for purchase ledger, sub-contractor and all-round accounting duties whilst providing additional support to the team as and when needed. This is the ideal role for someone studying AAT and looking to work towards an Assistant Accountant role in the near future. • Process all purchase invoices and obtain approval for payment
• Carry out supplier statement reconciliations
• Payment runs on a monthly basis, ensuring all supplier invoices are uploaded
• Dealing with supplier queries over the phone and via email
• Verify all new sub-contractors in line with Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) standards and manage monthly CIS returns
• Supporting senior management with ad hoc accounting and finance duties
