MARKETING PROCUREMENT LEAD – GLOBAL FMCG – ICONIC HOUSEHOLD BRANDS – WEST LONDON/ REMOTE – £60,000 – £75,000 + CAR ALLOWANCE + BONUS
I’ve partnered with a global, Fortune500 FMCG, comprising of some of the most iconic household brands, ranging across confectionary, ice-cream, baking, cereal and Mexican inspired products, to recruit two roles within their newly created UK Procurement team.
As part of an ongoing global transformation, you will be responsible for identifying areas to unlocking value and implement best practice. The Marketing Procurement Lead will effectively engage and partner with key stakeholders in Marketing, Sales and Consumer Insights to support the business in optimising a £200m+ spend on all Marketing related goods and services. You will develop sourcing category strategies to meet business needs, align the category to best practice, and create effective synergies across the globe. You will have line management responsibility including one direct report.
Although the HQ is based in West London, this will be a home-based role with the option to come into the office for those that want to.
The Marketing Procurement Lead will be responsible for:
Collaborate with Global Sourcing Managers to develop & align holistic category strategies for all assigned areas in order to drive competitive advantage through productivity and innovation initiatives
Lead core project teams through a structured sourcing process (category strategy, planning, RF(x), negotiations, supplier selection) that leads to successful commercialization of partnerships
Assess vendor/contract issues and risks – recommend mitigation strategies
Document category strategies for key Marketing spends in the region that outline a roadmap to best in class. Align key stakeholders on the strategy.
The Marketing Procurement Lead will have:
Minimum of 5 years’ procurement experience, with category expertise in Marketing.
Demonstrated track record of understanding strategic sourcing with the ability to lead supplier negotiations, contracts and manage change processes cross functionally.
Exposure to Food or FMCG industries involving stakeholders spread across multi locations.
