Premier Engineering Looking for Production Manager at Devon , South West England Full Time

LOCATION – South Devon

SALARY – £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

TYPE – Permanent

 My client is a market-leading manufacturer to various sectors including aerospace, defence, medical etc. They are looking to take on an Operations Manager, on a permanent basis, in the South Devon area.

The Operations Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

• Qualified in a relevant Engineering / Manufacturing Degree with time served as a Manager
• Previous experience working as an Operations / Manufacturing Manager within manufacturing
• Proven experience of improvements made within a manufacturing business
• Solid knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Continuous improvement or Six Sigma
• Can communicate with other members of staff and other members of management
• Knowledge of various assembly and manufacturing environments
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Experience within electronics manufacturing industry – Advantageous
• Experience with Capital Expenditure and Financial Responsibility

The Operations Manager role will involve:

• Overseeing the responsibilities for Manufacturing, Quality and Planning
• Drive an attitude of continuous improvement activities within the business
• Consider profit and losses whilst driving continuous improvement
• Liaising with other departments and stakeholders
• Working with other management to ensure budget and delivery targets are met
• Ensure Health and Safety Compliance
• Utilise 5S Framework
• KPI Setting and monitoring
