A national charity is seeking a Head of Organisational Development to join their team.

THE ROLE –

• Lead and motivate the OD team to achieve and support their development in line with annual and personal development plans. Monitor the structure and resourcing of the team and recommend changes for agreement by the HR Director.

• Develop, deliver and evaluate leadership development programmes for Directors, senior leaders and line managers of staff and volunteers, empowering and equipping them

• Develop and deliver a rolling, prioritised learning and development plan for staff and volunteers, which is strategically aligned and informed by relevant learning needs Evaluate and report on impact, implementing changes and developing forward plans to meet current and future skills gaps.

• Devise the annual OD budget and once agreed, manage the budget and forecast expenditure. Provide budgetary reports to the HR Director and Finance as

• Lead on an organisation wide approach to talent management and succession planning, working closely with the Head of HR to develop and implement appropriate systems to support the retention and development of our people, and support workforce plans

• Lead on delivering employee engagement initiatives. Deliver a programme of surveys and other feedback mechanisms, each directly informing and driving successful delivery of relevant follow up activities. Ensure the alignment of all employee questionnaires and surveys initiated by other departments. Analyse and report on impact. Develop employee networks and representative’s groups

• Devise, agree and lead delivery of an effective HR communication programme in support of all areas of the Directorate’s activities and in line with the Employee Engagement Strategy.

• Lead on the organisation approach to wellbeing, analysing, reporting on, and developing policies and activities to promote this across the organisation

• Take the lead in agreeing and embedding the new behaviour framework throughout the charity, devising and ensuring delivery of tailored training.

Essential Criteria

• Experience of working in OD/HR with recent senior-level delivery experience in at least 2 of the main areas of responsibility: behaviour frameworks, leadership development, organisational change, employee engagement and learning and development
• Strong track record of successful planning, implementation and embedding of complex change programmes
• Credible communicator both verbally and in Proven ability to influence at senor level to drive change.
• Strong people management skills including proven ability to build rapport and influence at all levels
• CIPD qualified (or equivalent)
