We are currently working with a leading tier one contractor who are looking to add to their midlands planning team.
As a construction planner you will take responsibility for delivering specific tasks, goals and objectives.You will be expected to work proactively and deliver defined tasks to business and industry standard. You will manage your own tasks within the context of a project or company objective. Whilst you will take day to day decisions on their own, you will refer
and agree significant decisions with project leads and Head of Planning. You are accountable for work and the overall team’s performance and its impact on their area or project. In operations they will manage the planning function on projects of various size and value and will be working on around 4/5 projects at any one time.
The main duties of the role will be to provide programmes, analysis of programmes and communication within
the team as required by the Project Lead, Head of Planning and Senior Planner during tender stage and as required by the Construction Manager during the construction phase.
The ideal candidate will have previous planning experience working for a main contractor and on both tender and live projects. You will have experience working on both JCT and NEC forms of contract and you will have general good experience of planning and programme management across a range of projects.
