My client a market leader in their field based in Kent, who have constantly evolved during their proud history. Are again showing this by hiring a very exciting and business critical position of Environment & Sustainability Manager to join their team. This is an integral role, and key in their strategic business plan.
Key Responsibilities For The Role Of Environment & Sustainability Manager Include:
• Being responsible for implementation and continuous improvement of key environmental management systems and to support continued certification of ISO14001:20015
• Define the Environmental strategic framework
• Work with SLT on developing a medium and long term plan around environmental improvement across the business
• Provide environmental KPI’s reports and analysis
• Support and develop the wider HSQE team to provide improved levels of service
• Take the lead on all sustainable procurement for all goods and services
• Work with all parts of the business on waste management, recycling, renewable energy ,environmental health, pollution control
• Provide leadership and guidance on all environmental investigations and audits through the business
• Attend meetings with project teams on clients’ sites. Work with industry groups to promote the company’s Environmental and sustainability profile
• Promote initiatives across the business with ESG
• Assist with ESG submissions as part of tendering processes
Successful Applicants For The Role Of Environment & Sustainability Manager Will Have:
• Certificate in Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (Full IMEA Certificate)
• Member of IMEA
• 2 years + of project or corporate environmental management
• Knowledge of working in a scientific, construction, engineering or manufacturing background is ideal but not essential
