REED Engineering Looking for Electrical bias Maintenance Engineer at Ferndown , Dorset Full Time

Company & Role:

Our client is an industry leading manufacturer who are specialists within their field. They are a household name and seeking to employ a maintenance engineer on a permanent basis. 

You will be based at their Dorset facility and be responsible for attending repairs, breakdowns, installations and routine maintenance within the manufacturing machinery – The workload is around 70% Electrical & 30% Mechanical. 

Role Responsibilities:

• Day to Day duties – Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner, carrying out scheduled repairs, improvement works, installs and planned maintenance.
• Ability to understand business needs, working to a defined schedule & where necessary prioritise own work accordingly.
• Maintain inventory, highlighting shortages.
• As part of a team, strive to ensure KPI’s are met.
• Ensure all production equipment is maintained in good working order.
• Identify machinery issues & continuous improvement opportunities.
• Provide and maintain an excellent level of service to the business.
• Identify gaps/efficiencies in PM schedules based on experience.
• Ensure compliance with company H&S practices and procedures.
• The odd bit of building maintenance where required.

Person Skills & Experience:

• Electrical bias multiskilled trained engineer to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Must have strong Electrical skills
• A time served Multiskilled maintenance engineer, with a proven track record.
• Mech/Elec fault finding with regards to maintenance and breakdowns.
• Background working in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexible approach to work.
• Strong ability to work cross functionally.
