The Company & Role:
Our client is a small, successful, and growing engineering company who are specialists within the design and build of special purpose machinery. Due to growth, they are seeking to employ a workshop operative to join them on a permanent full-time basis.
This role will involve various duties around the workshop, such as assembly of the machinery frames, pick and pack of goods and receiving and dispatching packages etc… so someone with a flexible approach is required.
This role will also be suitable for someone who is looking to progress within their career as this company will support your growth and progression if you desire.
Duties:
Mechanical engineering support
Assisting in the building of mechanical machine frames
Pick and packing shipments, including small spare boxes up to larger machinery.
As a specialist company, training with be provided for their product range.
Putting items into stock locations.
Receiving and dispatching packages
General cleaning when needed
Person Specification
Experience in a workshop/warehouse environment
Ability to use hand tools for mechanical machine assembly
Confident within a hands-on role
Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
Forklift licence a benefit but not essential
Package
Salary: £18,000 – £23,500
25 days Annual holiday (plus Bank Holidays)
