MultiSkilled Maintenance Engineer – Days only

• Salary: £35,000 – £37,000
We are seeking a MultiSkilled Maintenance Engineer for our Manufacturing client in the Canterbury area. This role involves responsibility for all equipment and machinery on-site, ensuring maximisation of production availability.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Production Manager to improve procedures and achieve process improvements. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to plan and control the maintenance function.
Day to Day of the MultiSkilled Maintenance Engineer:
• Oversee all production equipment, ensuring machinery and equipment efficiency is maximised and maintained in safe working order.
• Monitor and take action across all process equipment, including dust and fume extraction systems, effluent emissions, and plant lighting.
• Lead engineering projects, delegate work to the team, and monitor progress.
• Create, manage, and monitor preventative maintenance schedules and update maintenance operating procedures.
• Work with the maintenance team to fix breakdowns and ensure the smooth running of plant equipment.
• Liaise with internal and external teams to ensure robust, sustainable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policy.
• Be flexible with time and prepared to perform maintenance tasks out of hours.
Required Skills & Qualifications of the MultiSkilled Maintenance Engineer:
• Qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, minimum Level 4 City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Edition 18 certification with up-to-date knowledge of legislation.
• Demonstrable problem-solving skills and a ‘hands-on’ approach to engineering-related problems.
• Significant practical engineering experience, including a supervisory role managing people.
• Ability to prioritise in a complex, fast-paced environment.
