The Company
A successful business who design and manufacture building products for the building industry. A long-established manufacturing company that is continuously expanding and looking to improve. This role is available due to replacing someone who is retiring and has been with the business for over 20 years.
The factory operates high speed presses with sophisticated progression tools, all designed and built in-house in a bespoke toolroom facility. They have a team of experienced engineers, managers and support staff, offering a friendly, reliable and consistent service.
Job Role
To assist with the maintenance, repair and sometimes design of progression tools.
Be involved in Research and Development projects.
Assist existing Toolmaker and support Production team engaging in preventative maintenance systems.
Hours of work:
39.5 hour working week flexible part time hours can also be arranged. Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30-1pm
Person Specification
Previous experience as a Toolmaker
Experience in the service and general repair of press tooling
Conventional lathe experience
Surface Grinder experience
Basic milling experience
Experience of fault finding and quality improvements in a production environment
Safe working knowledge of general tool room equipment
The job requires good all-round engineering abilities and flexibility.
The ability to work on own initiative is required.
Package
A basic salary up to £35,000 depending on experience and skill level
