Principal responsibilities:
Workshop activity planning, including overhauls and repairs. Identify and mitigate risks to fulfilling anticipated delivery dates by working with sales, workshop, and supply chain.
Liaison and problem-solving with the workshop on a daily basis on production issues.
Raise production/service orders for the workshop when units arrive from clients, either on a project schedule or ad hoc, and then plan in these orders to be worked on.
In conjunction with buying, schedule components to arrive on time to meet customer order Purchasing subcontracts and coordinating subcontract activities with vendors directly.
Process paperwork
Organizing incoming/outgoing product transportation as needed.
In the absence of the Production Manager, deputises.
Developing techniques to improve the efficiency of production lines.
Education & Professional Experience
A bachelor’s degree or an engineering background is required, as is a solid understanding of mechanical engineering procedures or extensive engineering expertise in a previous capacity.
Experience with production control and planning is required.
Specific Knowledge & Skills (EX: Language, IT skills)
Excellent MS Office abilities are necessary.
Experience with ERP systems
The Navision ERP system is highly valued (but not essential as training will be given)
