RenEnergy Looking for Finance Assistant at Norwich, Norfolk Full Time

Job Title: Finance Assistant Responsible to: Finance Director

Are you looking to work in Renewable Energy as a Finance Assistant to develop and grow? We will provide training, mentoring and career development in finance, this is a great opportunity  in assisting within the RenEnergy Group finance function administrating Purchase Ledger, Petty Cash, HMRC Statutory Returns, Sales Ledger and Automated Payroll.

Key Responsibilities

• To maintain the purchase ledger, matching invoices to authorised Purchase Orders, Statement reconciliation, Setting up new suppliers, supplier payment runs and Reports
• Matching Payments to Bank Reports
• To maintain Sales Ledger, including Sales Invoicing, Proforma Invoices, Sending Statements and Matching Customer Payments
• Petty Cash Accounting, including VAT recovery and inputting Petty Cash Payments to the P&L
• Credit Card returns, including Vat recovery and inputting Credit Card Purchases to the P&L
• CIS Returns to HMRC and Preparing and sending Supplier CIS Deduction Statements
• Automated PAYE Payroll System, including requirements for HMRC Real Time Information system
• Assisting with the P&L and BS, Manual Journals, Prepayments and Depreciation
• Assisting with the capture of PPA agreements and off charges to third party companies

Attributes / Skills and Specifications

• Use of Xero a distinct advantage but training can be given
• Very Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Previous experience of Purchase Ledger and Accounts procedures
• A real “can do attitude”
• Comfortable in communication with others on all levels
• Able to meet month end deadlines
• A good eye for detail and common sense

Education and Qualifications

Although no formal qualifications in accountancy is required  it would be advantage especially for someone who has their Level 3 AAT  and looking to progress further or someone who enjoys bookkeeping. We do expect someone educated to GSCE standards and a keen mind to learn and progress the accounts function forward.
