You will work on cutting-edge, high-priority projects and will be expected to have a broad understanding of the AWS technical landscape, however engineers may also specialise in one or more areas.
The core focus of this role will be the creation of a shared services catalogue that will enable many different teams to reuse AWS components in a consistent, secure manner. This will include the definition of best practise standards as well as developing, testing, deploying and maintaining modules that implement those standards.
You will also be working with the product teams who will consume these modules to help them adopt them and take requirements for future enhancements.
The difference you’ll make.
Working as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a technical SME setting up best practice and standards in AWS infrastructure engineering.
Focusing on the design and implementation of the Terraform modules and Sentinel policies to securely deploy AWS infrastructure
Developing and enhancing IAC and application CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tooling
Taking ownership of technical considerations in tooling, technology, best practice, development, availability of services, risk and reliability.
Creating a shared services catalogue that will enable many different teams to reuse AWS components in a consistent, secure manner.
Defining the best practise standards as well as developing, testing, deploying and maintaining modules that implement those standards as well as identifying where efficiencies and optimisations can be made.
What you’ll bring.
It would also be nice for you to have.
Software development concept and tooling such as GIT
Experience working in a CI/CD environment
Azure experience would be beneficial
Experience in a technical engineering role with knowledge of the development lifecycle
What else you need to know.
We will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.
This role is currently home based with an expectation to travel very occasionally into the Milton Keynes office when required.
This is a permanent position.
