Sciensus are currently looking for a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist in the Kettering and Northampton area. We are looking for a talented, patient focused therapist to join our fantastic team working in partnership with the NHS. As a Lead Physiotherapist, you will deliver excellent one to one patient pathways in the comfort of the patient’s home and support a team of therapists across the region with their clinical development. We are looking for physiotherapists who have an enhanced area of practice within community, orthopaedics or frailty and are dedicated to delivering outstanding professional patient care.
You will be the Clinical Lead for a multi-disciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistants and Homecare Support Workers across services. You will be responsible for excellence in the delivery of therapy treatments in line with patient’s needs, key quality performance indicators and outcome measures, ensuring best practice is delivered to patients in their home environment to help maximise their function and level of independent living.
The Lead Physiotherapist will ensure non-qualified staff are trained and assessed to a suitable standard using the Career Competency Framework for Therapy Assistants. You will mentor and support junior therapists.
You will holistically assess patients utilising excellent clinical analytical skills and outcome measures to create care plans to ensure patient-centred, goal orientated treatment plans in line with best practice. Treatments will ensure patients personal objectives are achieved and their function and level of independent living is maximised. You will educate and advise patients and relatives/carers in the correct use of equipment to maximise independence and avoid accidents or injury.
You will ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient treatment to provide real time data to ensure high quality and safe care is delivered. You can demonstrate an enhanced knowledge of clinical practice and experience in the area of community, frailty or orthopaedics to be able to clinically lead the development and practice of the therapy team.
As this is a regional role travelling to visit patients and staff in the home setting, it is crucial that you have full UK driving licence.
