Finance Assistant // Speke // £25000 // initially until Feb 2023 – real possibility of permanent role / Hybrid – mainly working from home// Full time OR 4 days per week an option
We have an opportunity for a Finance Assistant with good, varied accounting experience to join a thrivng service provider in the Speke area.
The role is full time but they will consider applicants who would like to do a four day week. It’s initially a FTC, but, as the company has just had a record month and is incredibly busy, they are looking to transform and grow the finance team so this role could become permanent.
The finance team currently go into the office 1 day per week, but there is flexibility to go in more if desired.

As Finance Assistant you will be responsible for the day to day transnational tasks within the finance department.
Main Responsibilities
Process purchase ledger invoices
Daily bank reconciliations
Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
Analyse final gross margins on projects
Administer cash flow forecast and reconcile
Process expenses and credit card payments and reconcile
Analyse VAT audit report on a quarterly basis prior to submission and collate VAT file for the quarter
Reconcile any finance discrepancies or errors identified and investigate causes
Maintain effective credit control
Create, send, and follow up on sales invoices
Maintain an active knowledge of supplier and client payment terms
Update and maintain PO Register
Assist the Accountant in creating financial reports
Produce ledger reports when requested and deal with general client / internal queries
Payroll admin if required
Experience:
Good transnational finance experience as per above duties
Excellent attention to detail
Able to prioritise and manage a very busy workload
Good systems skills – able to pick up new systems quickly
Intermediate excel – VLookup, pivot tables
Confident to ask questions where needed
Confident working remotely some of the time
