2nd line Network Engineer with a solid background in routers, Switches & Firewalls is sought by an international IT consultancy based near Bolton. With a wide-ranging customer base this 2nd Line network Engineer will join a collaborative, friendly, NOC of this high growth tech business.

Due to the diverse technical requirements this 2nd Line Network Engineer can look forward to a varied day to day with extensive training opportunities.

This role would suit a 2nd Line Network Engineer with at least a years’ experience working in a technical support role or NOC who is looking for a well structured career development and progression plan.

This 2nd Line Network Engineer based near Bolton should have understanding of the following:

– Previous experience working in a technical support, networking capacity
– A well-rounded understanding of Routers, Switches, Firewalls and wide area communications
– Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communications
– Any understanding of products such as Juniper, Cisco, Check Point etc would be a plus
