SF Recruitment Looking for Assistant Accountant at Derby Full Time

SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Assistant Accountant to join our client based in Derby. This client will be a Practice and it is essential you have experience working within a practice environment. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a team that provide financial support, you will assist with a wide range of technical accounting, VAT, projects with potential involvement with budgeting and financial management duties.

Main responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of the annual budgets
Undertake a number of reconciliations of control and suspense accounts on a monthly basis.
Assist in the preparation of the annual accounts.
Undertake VAT returns and provide advice regarding VAT to budget managers on capital projects.
Develop positive links including the provision of financial advice and support.

Ideally you will have 3-4 Years accounting experience and worked within a practice environment. Experience using the system software Xero would be preferable. AAT qualified at a minimum, but ideally ACCA/CIMA studier.
