Spectrum IT’s UK retail client are looking to recruit a Contract Senior IT Applications Support Engineer, this is a newly created role to work alongside the existing IT Support teams and specialise in Application Support including (but not limited to) deployment, configuration and application upgrades.
This is a hybrid working role, 3 days on site in Portsmouth, Hampshire per week and via Umbrella engagement only. This role has an initial 6 month contract duration with further scope to extend into 2022.
In this newly created role you will self-manage IT Application support work and play a key role across the business. You will collaborate and work alongside renowned international brands (vendors) focusing on bespoke software applications and retail IT support initiatives. Candidates for this role will be experienced with direct applications support and working in cloud based environments. You will be a proactive person who enjoys learning new applications and bespoke software products to be able to deliver high levels of support and while working under your own initiative. Lastly you will enjoy a varied and hands on senior support role where you can truly impact a business and vendors day to day.
Skills/Experience:
A personal love for technology, software applications and cloud based infrastructure
Previous IT Application Support experience (Bespoke application support experience beneficial but not needed)
Azure Cloud experience
Strong ability to manage/ project coordinate work independently (self manage)
Experience working with vendors and partnering on solutions
Experience liaising with business teams and units (security, infrastructure etc)
Highly self motivated and comfortable working independently to resolve issues
Highly organised with an ability to plan and prioritise work
Experience working with bespoke (not off the shelf) systems and standardised IT product
Experience with database systems (beneficial)
