The role
Electronics Engineer required by a successful, growing technology company located in Southampton. Due to continued success and recent investment, they are looking to expand their existing electronic engineering team working on varied projects.
The successful candidate will be supporting and maintaining electronic and embedded software components across a growing product range, as well as enhancing, adapting and developing new product features.
Essentials
Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Science or Maths or relevant experience
At least 3 years’ experience in electronics hardware design
Experience with microcontroller-based systems
ARM Cortex-M4 or similar
Proficiency in embedded software development in C
Nice to have
Experience with Ultra low power, battery powered devices
Motor Control / Electric Actuators
Sensing / data logging applications
IoT architectures and protocols (especially in industrial applications).
Industrial Control Systems and/or SCADA.
Wireless technologies
Web-based User Interfaces (HTML / CSS / JS).
Understanding of designing for ATEX applications, ideally using Intrinsic Safety techniques
Experience in the design of equipment for the industrial or energy sector.
All candidates applying must be eligible to work in the UK and able to get to the company’s Southampton office once per week on average.
