The firm’s 8-partner national construction team advises on all aspects of legal construction matters. Their construction team has advised on some of the UK’s most significant construction projects over the last few years, including infrastructure projects, logistics parks, commercial/residential schemes, town centre redevelopments, urban regeneration schemes, portfolio acquisition/disposal projects and process plants. The team acts for developers, occupiers, funders, construction professionals, contractors and specialists on managing and resolving risks in building and engineering projects.
The firm is looking for a partner level candidate who has a strong background in contentious construction work. They are a growing team and are keen to have a senior team member who will support the team’s succession planning at partner level by making this key appointment.
The disputes side of the practice advise on a mix of construction disputes whether they be in adjudication, arbitration, mediation or court proceedings. You will also be advising on claims in relation to time, money and defective work/design, during and after the construction phase. The contentious and transactional lawyers work closely together as one team.
