Teledyne CML Composites forms part of Teledyne Aerospace and Defense Electronics UK. We focus on the manufacture and supply of carbon fibre components to the aerospace industry. Due to the strength of our products and order book, we have enjoyed continued growth of 35% during 2020-2022. Because of this we have plans to expand our current 60,000 sq ft facility with the addition of additional 100,000 sq ft facility nearby.
With year on year growth we are looking to recruit additional team members to work in our HR department.
Position Summary and Responsibilities
THE ROLE
The Human Resources Coordinator will act as the first point of contact for the UK HR team by offering a professional customer service to stakeholders and employees across the business.
This key and varied role will be responsible for transactional HR administration within the employee lifecycle and for delivering a wide range of consultative HR support services to the business and its employees.
The role will be based on site in Bromborough within a busy manufacturing facility and will also oversee other businesses remotely within the group. It is an exciting time to join the business and the HR team within TDY. Teledyne CML are subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies with exciting opportunities for members of the HR team to contribute to new projects, processes and HR systems.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Providing guidance to employees and managers on HR self-service tools including Success Factors, Cornerstone performance and learning management and iCIMS for recruitment. (Migrating to Workday in the near future).
Managing the on/off boarding process for starters and leavers.
Processing and communication of employee data (the administration of contractual offers, employee changes, leavers)
Updating the HRIS ensuring the accuracy of all data
Administration support for the company reward system and schemes such as third-party benefit providers, Long Service Awards.
Prepare standard and ad hoc reports
In this role you will work closely and support with the wider HR team. For example, notetaking for disciplinary hearings, grievances, and work council meetings.
To provide accurate and timely generalist HR advice and assistance to support the company’s objectives.
To develop new and maintain existing HR related policies and procedures in line with organisational strategy.
To work closely with other HR Advisors within the wider HR team.
The first point of contact for managers regarding a wide range of HR topics, e.g.: pay and benefit enquiries, company policy questions and day to day queries across the life cycle of employment.
Support with HR projects as and when required.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of Procedures, Processes and Work Instructions ensuring best practice
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you are likely to have the following skills/experience/qualifications:
Previous experience in a busy HR environment.
A strong problem solver with an appreciation that employee matters are not straightforward.
Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word and Powerpoint and experience of HR systems.
Proactive and self-motivated, confident team worker
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of SAP, Success Factors, Workday, Cornerstone and/or iCIMS would be advantageous
Professional qualification in Human Resources Management is desirable
Skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask with a process improvement mind-set
Excellent attention to detail and “right first time” approach to work and ability to maintain this during busy periods
