The Advocate Group is currently partnered with a highly innovative business and specialist in the provision of software, training, and support to the decorative print industry.
With over 30 years of expertise, this organisation is growing to become a market leader across several industries and supporting a global customer base.
To support a number of highly exciting, multi-year projects to modernise the legacy code base, they are currently seeking a senior software engineer to join their growing R&D team.
The role:
· Working in close collaboration with the Director of Research and Development to plan, design, and then contribute to, large infrastructure projects
· Designing and creating new features.
· Tracking down and fixing bugs
· Coaching junior colleagues.
Your profile:
· 8+ Years professional development experience with C++, Objective-C or Swift
· Experience with Version Control (Preferably Git).
· Experience with GUI development.
· Fluent verbal and written English
· Willingness to work in Macclesfield at least two days a week.
· Indefinite right to remain and work in the UK
· Experience with native development on Apple platforms desirable. Even better would be experience transitioning a legacy codebase from Objective-C to Swift.
· Degree with mathematical component (E.g. STEM) or relevant professional experience (desirable)
· Experience working with a large codebase with multiple contributors (desirable)
