Hours: 20 hours per week or job share of 10 per week
Salary: £10.64 – £11.06 per hour

Northampton High School is looking to recruit MPV Drivers to join their team.

We are proud to have a pristine fleet of school transport vehicles and we are very excited that this will be expanding in 2022. We are looking to appoint several drivers for transporting pupils on the morning and afternoon school runs, Monday – Friday, term time only and we would be happy to consider either of the following:

• Full role 20 hours per week, start times of 6.30am and 3.15pm
• Job share, afternoon shift, 10 hours per week, start time 3.15pm

You would be joining a friendly and very welcoming team of drivers and the roles offer a great opportunity for work-life balance.

Both options are permanent contracts.

Key requirements include:
• A valid driving licence for a regular car – we will provide full MIDAS training in-house;
• The ability to react calmly in emergency situations;
• Be at least 21 years of age;
• Have or be prepared to take a suitable First Aid qualification;
• Maintaining good customer relations with parents and the school and contributing to a good atmosphere on the MPV.

Uniform will be provided which includes safety shoes, trousers, polo shirts and a utility fleece jacket.

This is an important role within school as we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of customer service. Therefore the successful candidate will be experienced, conscientious and professional in all aspects of this position. Being trustworthy and reliable is also of utmost importance.
