Accounts Assistant
12 months maternity contract could lead to permanent
£23000 – £24000/annum 4% bonus, pension, parking
Rochdale, Greater Manchester
9am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
My client a fantastic, leading company to work for are seeking an experienced accounts assistant with good accounts payable experience.
Focusing primarily on the accounts payable function this will be a varied role dealing with all aspects of cost for the business.
1. Review and process large volumes supplier cost invoices and record in the Operations system (Cargowise)
2. Handling supplier queries and requirements
3. Log and process supplier invoices Cost/Overheads in the Finance system (SAP)
4. Liaising with various teams within the business both locally across the UK and Globally, to ensure seamless handling of all the accounts payable cost function
5. Handling employee expenses
6. Recording direct debits
7. Accounts payable reconciliation
8. Check supplier statement and process payments
9. Assisting with the management of supplier accounts
10. Assisting with the management & reconciliation’s Accruals & Prepayments
11. G/L Reconciliation
12. Providing Analysis reports management to improve efficiencies
13. General administration
14. Answering calls, taking messages, and forwarding to relevant employees within the team

Key Experience
1. You will be the main point of contact both internally and externally and as such it is essential that you are confident in handling queries and liaising with people at all levels on a professional basis
2. Minimum of 2 years office experience
3. Experience in working with Excel, Word and Microsoft Office
4. Experience of working within a finance team is beneficial but not essential
