Psychology Graduates – Teaching Assistants
South West London
ASAP Start
Time Plan Education are pleased to be working with a special needs school in South West London. They are recruiting several graduate teaching assistants to start ASAP. These are full-time positions for the remainder of the academic year, via the agency. There is also the possibility of the roles continuing in September 2023.
The school caters for 180 pupils aged 11-19 years old, with EHCPs for ASD, social and communication difficulties and moderate learning difficulties. As well as a varied curriculum, they also offer a range of therapies and extra-curricular activities.
The selected applicants will ideally have previous SEN experience, especially with ASD, moderate learning difficulties and communication needs. As well as supporting students on a 1:1 basis, you will also be required to support whole classes when needed. Knowledge of PECS and Makaton would be advantageous. You will have a caring, calm personality with a keen interest to progress in the field of SEN.
For candidates who commit, the school can offer long term opportunities at a friendly and stable working environment. Graduates with a degree in Psychology are of particular interest.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. You will be required to apply for an Enhanced DBS if your current DBS is not on the update service.
Timeplan is a committed Equal Opportunities Employer and therefore will not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, or sexual orientation.
If you are looking for a rewarding role in SEND and want to make difference, we want to hear from you!
