Based in the heart of Cambridge, St Catharine’s College is looking to appoint a full time, permanent Chef de Partie to join our busy, friendly Catering team, providing a first class service for our college community. The successful candidate will assist the Head Chef in providing high quality meals to our community and conferencing customers, in compliance with Food and Safety Regulations and College polices.
It is an exciting time for our College with the development of our ‘Central Spaces’ and later this year, the catering team will be moving into a new multi-million-pound kitchen, helping us to further improve our catering offer.
The ideal candidate will:
Have breadth of experience, skills and achievements gained from working within a hotel, restaurant or contract catering environment.
Have the ability to work as a team member cooking and presenting the required quantity of high quality and nutritious food according to menu and recipe specifications.
Be successful in assisting with stock rotation of all foodstuffs. To label, date and properly store all foodstuffs in appropriate storage areas.
Carry out duties in adherence to the College Food Hygiene Policy, and current Food Hygiene and Health and Safety legislation.
