The University is seeking a Lecturer in Mathematics within the School of Interdisciplinary Studies based on the University’s Dumfries campus.
The postholder will deliver an excellent student experience by delivering, organising and reviewing teaching, assessment and administration processes associated with undergraduate and postgraduate Programs; make a positive contribution to the strategic direction of the School by contributing and sustaining scholarship, supporting academic leadership and management within the School; and, actively engaging in relationships with external stakeholders that advance knowledge exchange, public understanding and outreach. The successful candidate will be a specialist in teaching Mathematics to those entering the teaching profession and will be able to create and deliver a broad range of mathematics and statistics courses on our undergraduate, PGDE (Primary and Secondary) and PGT programs. They will have GTCS registration (or be eligible for registration) and will be required to carry out school visits and support students on their school placements.
This post is full time (35 hrs per week) and open ended.
