The University is seeking a Lecturer Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Education (R&T or LT&S) within the School of Interdisciplinary Studies based on the University’s Dumfries campus.
The postholder will make a positive contribution to the strategic direction of the School of Interdisciplinary Studies through leading, contributing and sustaining scholarship (LT&S) or research (R&T) of international standard.
The postholder will Support (G8) or Provide (G9) academic leadership and management within the School and actively engage in relationships with external stakeholders that advance knowledge exchange, public understanding and outreach. The successful candidate will have specialist knowledge of the sociology of education and education policy. They will be a broad-based specialist able to deliver across our portfolio of undergraduate, PGDE and PGT courses and programs to those entering the primary and secondary teaching professions. They will have GTCS registration (or be eligible for registration) and will be required to carry out school visits and support students on their school placements.
This post is full time (35 hrs per week) and fixed term for 2 years in first instance.
