The University of Hull has expanded its international work in research, student recruitment and overseas study opportunities.
The post plays a key role in focusing the University’s international activity in areas where it can build strong name-recognition, establish multi-layered and sustainable alliances, and facilitate research collaboration.
The post-holder will manage and develop key international stakeholder relationships in a designated portfolio of countries, including with membership networks, scholarship bodies, diplomatic missions, and government officials.
They will work closely with colleagues in Research and Innovation, Alumni Relations, Faculties, and the other Offices of Global Engagement in forging international connections with academic institutions, sustaining research and teaching collaborations, and developing existing connections into wider areas of activity.
The post-holder will provide informed and specialised briefing materials about global trends, risks, and regional priorities in higher education and research policy, developing and disseminating expert knowledge to promote opportunities and build reputation for the University.
Reporting to the Head of Global Strategy, the post-holder will also will also organise incoming visits of dignitaries, and international visits for senior delegations. Applicants will, ideally, have a background in diplomacy, international public affairs, research management or international higher education.
