Senior Site Engineer
Location: Newcastle
Rate: £320 – 350 per day Via Umbrella
Duration: 9 months (with a possible extension)
Start: September 2022
My client is a top tier 1 contractors working on a major rail project in the north east. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Site Engineer to join the team in the early stages of a major project.
Senior Site Engineer Responsibilities:
- Ensure all permits ready for site work to commence
- Ensure the Inspection and Test Plans, and Quality Check Sheets are completed as soon as the checks can be completed
- Setting out and surveying
- Managing subcontractors
- Write and Approve method statements and risk assessments and ensure they are being followed throughout the works
- Good knowledge of specifications and testing regime relevant to general civil engineering
Requirements:
- Previously worked as Senior Site Engineer or in a similar position
- Previous experience with Civil works within Rail platform extensions, station works, drainage, Ground Works or Concrete Structures
- Major infrastructure project experience (heavy civil project experience would be beneficial)
- Ability to carry out general construction site testing
- HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent.
- Confident with engineering paperwork (RAMS)
- Hold a valid CSCS card
- Civil engineering and construction experience
- Ensure compliance with designs
