Our client:
A global business who manufacture and sell capital equipment. One of the largest companies in the world in their field.
The role:
Working closely with the finance director, the main purpose of the role is the reporting and controlling of actual and budgeted financial performance, at both a detailed and summary level.
Responsibilities will include:
Provide business segment expertise for new sales and specialism within commercial and financial approval sign off for new orders, pricing including break clauses and finance
Inventory controls and forecasting of shipments
Trade Receivables Management including account reconciliations, query resolutions and customer visits
External Finance portfolio management, including co-ordination of overdues, invoice queries and customer relationships
Supporting the Budget and forecast process
Controlling of business performance against monthly rolling forecasts for Sales, EBIT and cash, identifying and closing any gaps and improvements in accuracy. This will require working closely with operational teams
Control and approval process on overhead expenditure
Regular review of Balance sheet and support for the Provisions held and consistent process in line with total company guidelines
As part of business partnering/challenge to business there will be requirement to visit Customers and other Regions and Head office sites to attend as appropriate any steering, forecasting, business review meetings
Active participant in monthly depot meetings to drive performance and analysis of depot P&L’s – After Sales, Rentals, New and Used trucks
Providing business commentary for Senior Directors to highlight business trends, benchmarking and any risk to financial performance against budgets
To implement improvements of finance processes and systems in order to achieve an effective and efficient way of working consistently for achievement against defined objectives and service targets
Who we’re looking for:
Be a fully qualified accounting professional (preferred but not essential)
Have prior proven experience in a Senior Management Accounting / Business Partnering / Analyst role (preferred but not essential)
Have previously worked in large complex/matrix organisations (preferred but not essential)
Have worked in a manufacturing or leasing/contract hire environment (preferred but not essential)
Be competent using Excel at an advanced level and have strong IT skills
Have strong stakeholder management skills, being confident communicating with all levels of Management
Have a professional manner
Be commercially aware and show a forward looking focus
Have experience of value added reporting and business segment specialism
Please note that occasional travel to other sites will be required. The role will initially be fully office based, transitioning to hybrid working
What you will receive in return:
A 12 month contract with the possibility of temp to perm
Up to £60,000 per annum plus benefits
