The Vacancy
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Pre-Construction Manager to join our team in Wolverhampton. The primary focus of this role will be to provide leadership to tenders in accordance with agreed bid strategy and within Wates governance process. Ensuring that holistic view has been taken, that areas of focus are correct, and that contributions from all members of the team have been considered and incorporated.
Key Accountabilities will include:
- Production, ownership and implementation of individual project bid strategies and customer plans
- Provide leadership for the project bid teams in accordance with Wates strategy to ensure that preconstruction programme and outputs are met, and customer focussed approach is adopted
- Responsibility for engaging with functional leads and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to agree bid teams; monitoring and adapting to suit specific tender requirements throughout the bid period.
- Ensure that all members of the project bid team have a clear understanding of their role and required outputs
- Responsibility for taking a holistic view of the bid, ensuring that all facets of the tender are being adequately considered.
- Ensure all bids are carried out and settled in accordance with Wates governance
We are looking for you to be a qualified and professional Pre-Construction Manager with solid experience of construction projects and good knowledge of local sub contract market and pricing levels.
To be successful in the role you will have the ability to lead and influence at all levels to deliver outstanding results, successfully develop relationships to create future opportunities and have a proactive approach to risk management and value-add.
