The purpose of the Business Growth Team is to find and secure income generation opportunities and maximise funding for the Weston College Group. This is achieved through bids, strategic growth projects, and employer engagement. All activity delivered by the Business Growth Team supports the College to deliver its mission of creating brighter futures for learners.
This new role is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with construction employer engagement experience, ideally with experience of working in the construction industry, who is passionate about skills and training. Following extensive investment in state-of-the-art facilities at the Construction Training Centre and the South West Skills Campus, the College vision is to become a ‘one stop shop’ for construction employers looking to access high-quality training and future talent. The post-holder will be expected to engage with employers and construction stakeholders, deliver business growth, and support the existing team to realise the vision.
The post-holder will have a clear understanding of the recruitment and training requirements of the construction industry, have a proven track record of developing successful employer partnerships, and grow the business with a commercial mindset.
