The role of Electrically Biased Maintenance Technician promotes creditable work life balance opportunities as within the shift rotation, Technicians receive a week off per month.
THE ROLE
Operating within a high-volume manufacturing facility
Working to deliver planned and reactive maintenance
Updating maintenance schedules
Working with PLC systems to perform fault finding and analysis
Performing asset strip down and repair
Working to maintain automated production lines
Optimising manufacturing processes – improving efficiencies, reducing wastage, enhancing yield and reducing cost
THE PERSON
Time served Electrical Maintenance Technician who has served a recognised Apprenticeship
Holding multi skilled capabilities including bench skills, basic fabrication and basic welding
Able to undertake fault finding and diagnostic work – proficient with the use of PLC’s
Able to work with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, gears, pumps, valves, etc
Able to effectively identify and resolve manufacturing issues
Proficient with IT
Excellent communicator
Able to abide by H&S
THE PACKAGE
The hours of work are 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am rotating. The business operates what is known in the industry as the “5 shift pattern”. This means that compared to the traditional 4 on 4 off continental shift pattern, you work less weekends and each month in the rotation, you get 1 week off. The most amount of shifts you will work in a row is 4 and usually you will work no more than 3 days/nights in a row
The role is weekly paid. The role averages a 42-hour week. The basic hourly rate is £15.15 per hour, plus shift allowance. This equates to an annual salary of £40,367.08.
