Accounts Technician
We are a small accountancy practice based in Cambridgeshire, looking for an experienced and reliable Accounts Technician (Full time or Part time considered) to support our expanding team and client base.
The ideal Accounts Technician will have experience of working in an accountancy practice and some practical experience in the preparation of management accounts, financial statements and corporation tax compliance.
Accounts Technician Job Role:
The role involves supporting small to medium sized businesses, often owner managed across a variety of business sectors, with a range of accounting, financial performance and taxation services.
Key responsibilities will include:
Bookkeeping and data processing
Monthly management accounts preparation
Preparation of financial statements under UK GAAP
Payroll processing
Preparation of corporation tax returns and supporting computations
Preparation of personal tax returns and supporting computations
Supporting clients through accounting software change
VAT return preparation and filing
Regular, appropriate communication with clients through conversations, emails, letters and face to face meetings
Desirable Skills / Knowledge (training and support available):
AAT Qualified (or Part Qualified)
Good understanding of UK GAAP, corporation and personal taxation
Experience of payroll processing
Competent user of accounting software
Excellent Communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
