Our client, a leading global logistics organisation that provides a high-quality level of freight forwarding and logistics services, are looking to recruit an Ocean Freight Operations Manager to be based at offices near Maidstone, Kent.

On Offer:
- An attractive salary up to £50,000 per annum, dependant on experience
- On commencement 21 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, rising to 25 days plus 8 bank holidays

Main Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the VP Ocean Freight UK, overseeing operations for ocean freight forwarding – import & export.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all ocean freight forwarding import & export operational aspects.
- Close finances every month import & export.
- Deal with any queries passed on by department supervisors.
- Assist with quotes and tenders where necessary.
- Build customer & Supplier relationships.
- Maximise profit per job.
- Update sell rates on a monthly basis.
- 2 direct reports – import & export supervisors.
To Be Considered:
- Proven experience at leadership level within ocean freight forwarding
