As a school we have adopted a Hygge and Curiosity style approach to teaching and learning in EYFS. We ensure our children have access to open ended resources and take part in risk taking activities and we embrace our natural environment as an extension of our classroom. Children are encouraged to follow their fascinations and staff plan around the children’s interests and ideas and follow PLOD’s (possible lines of discovery/development) – we believe in teaching without limits and learning without boundaries.
No themes or topic, no Twinkl or Sparklebox, no colouring in or worksheets – everything is child centred and skills based. If this sounds like the style of teaching and learning that inspires you then come and look around before you apply and see if your philosophy aligns with ours
Application forms are available online at www.wirral.gov.uk and also from the school office. For further details please contact our Assistant Headteacher, Louisa Blake, via the school office email address.
