Our client is a global Organisation with over 30 years’ experience in laryngectomy care and committed to developing solutions for people living with neck stoma. Their products enable people to speak after a total laryngectomy and to breathe through their tracheostomy day and night while restoring pulmonary health.
Their team of Nurses work in partnership with Speech & Language Therapists and Hospital Nurse Specialists. You will visit patients in their own homes living with a laryngectomy or tracheostomy. You will help them become more confident managing their neck stoma by providing Appliance Use Review (AUR) and training
Key Responsibilities for these roles;
• You will be supporting laryngectomy and tracheostomy patients who have been discharged from hospital and helping to increase their confidence managing neck stoma
• You will provide training in the patient’s home and conduct Appliance Use Reviews (AURs).
• You will also run training sessions for District Nurses and in Nursing Homes on neck stoma care
This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse with laryngectomy, airways management or tracheostomy experience including ITU, HDU, ENT, Facio Maxillary Surgery or Critical Care, Community or District Nursing or a Complex Care Staff Nurse or Head & Neck Nurse looking to specialise in laryngectomy and tracheostomy care
To be considered for this important role you will be a Registered Adult Nurse (RGN/RN) that meets the following criteria;
• Level 1 UK Registered Nurse (Adult)
• Experience caring for patients with laryngectomy or tracheostomy
• ENT or Airways Management experience
• Training, coaching, teaching or mentoring others is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
