About Cipher-IT in Coventry
We are hiring for an accredited provider of expert IT services for Coventry and Warwickshire called Cipher-IT. Their emphasis is on creating valued IT Partnerships, rather than just ‘support’ relationships.
We’re helping them to add an experienced 2nd/3rd Line Technical Support Engineer to join our growing, friendly support team.
You’ll have the following technical experience and skills to thrive in this new role as the team’s IT Support Technician:
Your current role is a 2nd and 3rd Line Technical Support Engineer.
Ideally, you’ve worked in an MSP / IT Services company and love working to support clients’ current and future IT needs.
A strong understanding and experience in deploying, migrating and troubleshooting Windows OS.
Excellent knowledge and experience of Microsoft 365, Exchange and SharePoint.
Experience in and enjoy providing customer service, building and maintaining customer relationships.
You love learning and enjoy updating your certificates and qualifications.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels.
Knowledge of helpdesk/PSA/RMM systems and an ability to adapt to new software/programs.
Driving licence and car as you will visit and work onsite for clients across Coventry and the surrounding Midlands area.

Server infrastructure.
Backup solutions and management.
Active Directory, Azure AD and Group Policy.
Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server.
Ideally experience in Hyper-V and VMware – deployments, migrations and troubleshooting.
MDM, Intune and Autopilot
Antivirus solutions.
VOIP familiarity.
DNS, DHCP, TCP, IP
PowerShell
Network switches, firewalls, routers, Wi-Fi, VLANs, network printers, NAS
Network diagnostics.
Cyber Essentials experience and overall security awareness.

Salary: to £35,000
